Short description
This bronze forms part of the production of figures depicting armed men or soldiers, whether European or American, Asiatic or African, in warlike poses, ready to use their rifles. New, more simplified methods of reproduction meant that these bronzes were copiously produced, indicating how, during the 19th century, the demand for such small bronzes came no longer solely from the wealthiest classes but also from the bourgeoisie.
