Short description
This pair of candlesticks was made in a similar fashion to numerous liturgical bronzes made in the late 17th century in Rome. Several printed sources document the basic techniques used at the time; of special note is the work on engraving by the founder and goldsmith Filippo Passarini, Nuove inventioni d'ornamenti d'architettura e di intagli diversi, published in Rome in 1698.
