Short description
To date this tiny Bust of a Young Man has been considered to be a late 16th century Venetian representation of Alexander the Great. But it is proposed here that the bronze was made in Rome by Guglielmo della Porta. The latter's style is recognizable in the size of the bust, in the long hair of his characters, as well as the use of the wax casting technique.
