Short description
A nude figure of Atlas is depicted on the lid of this inkwell, with his arms raised to hold an object, which is now missing. This statuette is a later addition. The technique used here is very similar to another inkwell (PV9242), which has a small satyr on its lid, though the two were not made in the same workshop.
